Whilst I appreciate that ASO members are interested in the Alexander Technique not ASO itself, nevertheless I think it important to post material that is relevant to the general field of scholarly publishing, ie to the sharing of knowledge.  So I'll keep on doing it (despite the fact that a number of contributions highlight the relevant indifference of researchers to the concerns of the publishers).

I certainly found food for thought in the discussions in these posts, but I don't feel we are suffereing from issues around "authoring systems" (one of the issues raised) except that ideally I woudl like us to be able to produce documents with unobtrusive line numbering in the margin to help in the review and discussion process. I can't see a simple way to do that using current html tools so am having to resort to clunky paragraph numbers in articles published in the peer commentary area.
