Systematic review of the evidence for AT in health conditions. The database search ran to July 2011. All prospective studies included.
The authors concluded that there was strong evidence for AT with chronic back pain and moderate evidence in Parkinson’s-disease. Prospective evidence suggests AT may lead to improvements in balance skills in the elderly, in general chronic pain, posture, respiratory function and stuttering, but there is insufficient evidence to make strong clinical recommendations.
