Patients’ preferences within randomised trials: systematic review and patient level meta-analysis

Based on the evidence from 17 trials, 8 of which were muskulo-skeletal trials.

The 3 groups compared were those randomised to their preferred treatment; those with a preference who were randomised to a treatment they did not prefer; and those who had no preference.
